ABSTRACT
Background: The prevalence of mental disorders in Indonesia according to the 2018 Basic Health Research (RISKESDAS) data shows a significant increase. This increase can potentially lead to an increase in the quantity of psychopharmaceutical drug use and evaluation needs to be carried out in order to achieve rational drug use.
Objective: To determine the profile of the use of psychopharmaceutical drugs for inpatients at RSJ Prof. Dr. Soerojo Magelang during 2021 based on the type and quantity of use and the 90% DU profile.
Method : The method used is Anatomical Therapeutic Chemical/Defined Daily Dose (ATC/DDD) and Drug Utilization 90% (DU 90%). This research was conducted descriptively by collecting data on the use of patients' psychopharmaceutical drugs retrospectively from the Drug Information and Management System (SIMO) at Prof. RSJ. Dr. Soerojo Magelang during 2021 in the form of the name of the drug, the strength of the preparation, the dosage form, the number of patients, and the quantity of use.
Results: This study contained 14 types of psychopharmaceuticals, including those used in the Inpatient Installation of RSJ Prof. Dr. Soerojo Magelang. The total quantity of use of psychopharmaceutical drugs is 51,094 DDD/100 HR. Three types of psychopharmaceutical drugs with the highest use were clozapine at 15,738 DDD/100 HR, haloperidol at 12,270 DDD/100 HR, and diazepam at 7,872 DDD/100 HR.
Conclusion: Psychopharmaceutical drugs included in the DU90% segment include clozapine, haloperidol, diazepam, trifluoperazine and amitriptyline.
